Although the EZ Robot isn't as good as the Roborock S4, it's still an excellent choice for those who are looking for a reliable and budget-friendly robot. It's well-built, has many automation features, and has impressive cleaning performance on both carpet and floors with high pile. Its maintenance requirements are high and the recurring costs are high.
Another great feature of this Shark robot is its ability to recharge and resume automatically where it was when it returns to its docking station after an entire cleaning session. This is a fantastic feature, especially in the case of a large home.
The IQ XL is also equipped with a range of useful features, like the ability to remotely schedule home cleans and review cleaning reports using the SharkClean app. You can also initiate clean, stop and restart cleaning sessions by speaking through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The row-by-row mode is also an advantage. It will clean your home in neat rows, rather than a back and forth snake pattern as many other robots do.
The biggest drawback of the IQ XL is its inability to scale obstacles like power cords, which it might identify as solid barriers and avoid climbing over. It's not as fast or efficient in navigating rooms that are stuffed with pet hair, which could make its brushes tangled and slow it down.

You can program it to clean, turn on it on demand, or set virtual boundaries to prevent the robot from entering rooms with fragile items or rugs.
The Shark AI Robot does a good job cleaning bare floors. It can pick up dirt effortlessly, like rice. However, it has a hard cleaning larger bulky debris off carpets in low pile and is not capable of maneuvering around large furniture. It does come with a do-not-disturb mode, which means you can use it while you're at home, and it won't disrupt your routine.
It also uses LiDAR to identify your home. This lets it identify and navigate obstacles more precisely than devices that rely solely upon gyroscopes or infrared sensors. This allows it to avoid collisions with delicate objects and also optimize dirt pickup on different surface types. In our cleaning test it was able to eliminate 97.8 percent of the debris from low-pile and hardwood flooring, but it wasn't quite as effective with high-pile carpeting. Its maneuverability is solid and it can maneuver through furniture, climb onto carpeting with high pile, and traverse things like rug tassels and electrical cords without getting stuck.
Its high-tensile bristles in a helix pattern are sturdy enough to manage and untangle long hair, string and other fibers and the brushroll comes with an adjustable edge that can be utilized when it comes across obstacles. Its thin design lets it slide under furniture and proximity sensors monitor and adjust to the surrounding obstacles. It can be triggered to start cleaning with a pressing of a button, or scheduled for a daily schedule using the app. The noise levels are moderate, but it is possible to reduce the noise with a do-not-disturb feature or a custom-designed scheduling.
The RV700 is more manual than the Roborock S4 or iRobot Roomba j7+. This is to be anticipated from the fact that it does not self-empty. However, it still feels better-built and easier to maintain, and charges faster and clears more debris on the floors, including carpets with high pile. Its navigation system can create virtual boundaries and recognize obstacles making it the ideal option for "set it and forget it" robotic cleaners.
The RV700 Series does not have a cliff-sensor that would prevent it from falling down stairs. This could pose a problem for those who live in houses that are taller. It's not able of mopping and vacuuming at the same time and you must switch between modes within the app. The RV700 Series offers a cheaper alternative to the more advanced Roborock and iRobot robots that come with self-emptying features and cliff detection. Its biggest selling point is that it can be used to empty and recharged while docked in its base, which makes it a good choice for those who do not want to go through the inconvenience of emptying the dustbin after each use.
